CD Changer Bracket

Hi folks,

I have an Audi A4 Avant 1.9TDi SE (B5) - I have aquired the 6 disc CD Changer for it (from a written off A4 Sport - saloon) and the cable is pre-installed in the boot on my car, but as such I dont have the Avant type housing for it.

My brother-in-law works for an Audi dealer and even he is struggling to get hold of one (he has contacted Audi in Germany to no joy so far)

Loads of changers on ebay but no brackets.

Would any one have or know any where else I could try to get hold of one.

Just gone through this process myself with my 1997 1.9 Avant. (B5)

There are two brackets for the B5. An early smaller bracket and the more popular larger one for 1998 to 2001.

Both are now on back order, so are unlikely to available.

Which one do you require? I have tracked down a couple of dealers how have ordered stock but never sold them. I think I still have the contact numbers for these.

Many thanks for the reply.

I was bored at work on Wednesday and sneaked on to ebay and did a search for CD changer bracket not expecting much in the way of results. Hakfway down the page there was exactly the one I needed. I hit the buy it now button and paid immediately. It came yesterday and I fitted it last night after searching the house for suitable screws/bolts.

I found a small bag of them in the bottom of the box with the packaging.

Finally found the details.

Sytner Audi at Huddersfield. 01274 270 570

Partsmans name Richard Hurst. When I rang him he had two left, one of each kind.
