    Default Car Radio Help Plc – 12-05-2009,12:32 AM
    I just bought a 2005 Jetta and my car stereo (6 CD in Dash) just stopped working. I tried having a new aftermarket stereo installed but that didnt work either. The shop tech advised me that he could hear a humming coming from the front right speaker but nothing else. He thought it might be the amplifier. My question is how do identify the type of amplifier in the car and where do I find it? Thanks in advance.

    Fred,

    If you have just bought the vehicle from anywhere other than a private sale ( dealer etc ) I would take it back and ask them to fix it.It should have a period of warranty uner which these things should be sorted out.
