    Hi Guys,

For some time now i have wanted to fit the headlight washers on my A4 B6.

I have done no research as into this as yet and was wanting some advice from you guys with whats involved.

I looked into this a while back and was thinking of retro fitting them, but the about of work involved cutting the holes perfect was going to be too much of a risk, plus all the parts were going to cost a few quid

Anyway... The other day I got a front bumper with washer jets, pumps and pumping and wiring...

The bumper is in the same colour which is luckily (i am going to have to get it needs a re-spray as its got a few marks on it)

So... i have been speaking with my mate who said it will be pretty simple wiring up a relay to power the jets for then the headlights are on and the standard washer jets are applied. (he not had chance to get a look but that was a general assumption.

After looking at the washer jets, i don't seem to be able to source a power input for them?? (i may of missed it) but can someone explain how these work??

Below is a few photos of the bumper.

Any advice will be greater appreciated.

    Rick

    Just been looking into this..

It would appear i need the following..

    3b7 955 681 - Headlight Pump, - - (item 8 on the below pic)

8E0 955 453 AH - Fluid Container - (is there an additional container for the headlights???)

    Plus a bit of hose...

From looking at this am i correct in thinking the jets only work on the pressure of the water from the pump??

Does anyone know if the washer bottles are all the same which the cut out for the washer jet pump??

i can only see one washer bottle listed?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure the windscreen wash bottle is used for both headlights and windscreen. Its just larger.

after spending a bit more time looking to this..

it would appear all i need is 955 681 - Headlight Pump, which should sit next to the exisitng pump..

The only thing i need to confirm now is the following.

From looking at this am i correct in thinking the jets only work on the pressure of the water from the pump??

Does anyone know if the washer bottles are all the same which the cut out for the washer jet pump??

    Cheers

    Rick

The bumper needs some TLC and painting.

i looked at it and it was going to be an easy job,...

The fact is.. its been sat in the garage for 12 months or so... (look at the first post date) and i have lost a bit of intrest in it..

    ps.. i have HID's!

i may.... look at putting it on.. lol!!
