No I think its only the RNS510 Sat Nav, I don't think the RCD510 has an HD either but does have an SD slot.

As for Lithuania, there is a great trade in stealing cars from Europe and dismantling then in the old eastern block countries...but that's not to say they are not legitimate

Hmmm, managed to spot an RNS 510 from the UK for £700.

Just not sure if I can justify that to the fiancee...

most say they have a backup!!! CD and not original nav media, which cost £100+ so be carefull

    Not a chance

TBH I didn't bother with the the RNS mainly because the map updates are so expensive, A New map for a TomTom is £40 and the unit with 2 years updates is £100.

Fro My MFD"2 it was£134 for a new 2009 CD and you can update it at all. TomTom units do continuous updates for less than that.

I agree the units look nice, but the expense is hardly worth it

Ok, so if it's ridiculously expensive to have a hdd, what do you reckon the best solution for being able to link up my iPod and see track names etc is?

Would an RCD310 with a lead to the glovebox work?

I'm still researching that bit, but the RCD does the Track names function of the disk, so I think its a MDI interface that allow you to control the Ipod. But i stillswaying as aParrot kit is about the same money and i can then stream music from my N95 as well as being able to plug in an ipod/usb device/iphone or SD and I get handsfree...oh descions

Does anyone have the spec sheet for the RCD 310. I didn't get the manual for the radio and I'm trying to work a few things out.

    Cheers

    Rob

Can't find one for the RCD 310.

RNS 510 is here if that helps at all?

Right I have installed th RCD310 and lovely it looks to, the greatest thing is the ability to read mp3 cd's

Now I need to decide on a Parrot kit or VW Ipod adaptor with Bluetooth.....
