98 passat tdi lack of power + all internal lights not working

Hello can anyone help me?
My trusty 98 passat tdi wagon (230,000 miles) is lacking power quite badly now and the mpg is suffering a bit.
I know the engine is worn, and i was thinking of getting the injectors sorted out (new nozzles). Would airmass flow be anything to do with it as well? I'm not too experienced in solving problems.

My other concern is that ALL of my interior lights have stopped working, tried fault finding, but i'm not sure if the courtesy control box is on its way out.

Any help would be much appreciated as i want to keep the beast on the road for as long as possible. On a trip to scotland from devon it gave me 68mpg, sono need for a new one!

Hi A faulty AMM could be a reason the engine is running poorly,you should have a fault code read,to see if anything else shows up.Lift the carpet on the front passengers side,and you will find a black plastic box,check the connectors on the control unit and if you remove the insulation tape,about 30 cm you will find some connections which can cause various malfunctions,interior light failure among other things
