No need to write down the original code as VCDS keeps a log of all coding and adaption changes in the program directory.

Anyone managed to get the automatic tailgate to close with the key fob. Played about on my wife's A4 but VCDS is asking for a security code and it is not appearing in the bubble as normal. Tried 12345 which works for the A6/A7 but no joy on ours.
    Cheers, Scott.

Enable Independent Fogs control with high beams
    [09 – Cent. Elect.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 4
Bit 1 – (Front) Uncheck the box or change :Bit 1 to 0
Bit 2 – (Rear) Uncheck the box or change :Bit 2 to 0

does the above allow the foglights to be linked to full beam?

Just noticed this thread and wondering if these items work on all models. Have a 2013 Black edition and curious on the sweeping needles and what the hidden MMI screen is

The sweeping needles definitely works on a 2013 as I have enabled it on my wife's car. The hidden menu should work although I didn't bother for her car.

    Hi all,

I don't suppose there is a "VAG code" or some other setting to make the NAV default to "Map mode" when it is switched on?

Currently when NAV is switched on, it always starts in "Destination" menu, prompting the user to enter a destination, you can enter the "Map view" by pressing the lower right button, but is there a way to get the NAV to always start in the "Map view" mode?

    Thanks in advance

I guess I should also add that my NAV is the 2G MMI HIGH and my car is a A4 Avant 58reg (2.0TDI S-line)

Got some tweaks done to my car (Awesome GTI did them for free as part of service :-))
    - Hidden Menu
    - Needle sweep test
    - Battery meter (shows 100% so not sure if works)
    - Lap timer / oil temp
    - Emergency Braking lights - lights flash when braking hard. (went for this one over emergency braking indicator lights)
    - Rip Audio CDs - This options shows but doesn't seem to work as I've tried an Audio CD cannot find tracks on jukebox??
