What price off a VW dealer?

Do you have a TPS near you?

Thanks BobProperty...no TPS near me I'm afraid.

I was given a quote of £500 incl. VAT to have this done at a VW garage which I thought was OTT. Will check out the website.

    Many thanks.

TBH £500 at a dealers doesn't sound outrageous. It isn't cheap, I'll grant you that, but there's a fair bit of work involved and the VW list price of a steering rack I'm guessing is in the £200-£300 area.

Yes, that's true. Just hoping that I could reduce the cost somehow. Don't want to get rid of the car but it's now a case of repairs costing more than the value of the car!

    Scrub that. I'm told there's two racks: one's £375ish one's £615ish.
