    does any 1 have trouble with the air bag light ,mine came on so i took it to a auto electrition and he reset the light and told me i had a few fault codes but he cleared them for me ,he said it was the top passenger side air bag ,well the blooming thing just came on again after 4 days ,so it looks like im going back to him to reset it again and maybe reseat the plug as he said there was an intermittent fault on that side

    This is a common fault. VW recommend cutting off plugs and joining the wires direct to avoid bad connections. I'm surprised the auto electrician didn't know this.

    If you do a search for 'Airbag warning' you'll see that this is as Martin says, a common problem.

    I've now had two replaced. If your car's under guarantee get the dealer to sort it and keep a record of work 'done'.

    thanks for the info im takeing the car back tomorrow as they said if it comes on again they will have a look at the connections on the passenger door pillar as thats where they say the problem is . so just to get this right vw are saying to cut the wires and join them to the connectors directly seems a good idea , i will pass that on to the sparky ,thank you again ,deck
