From memory it sounds very familiar Homer, That was how my father explained it to me at the time. Bummer I was just looking up your old posts and as soon as you were asking how the water could be coming out it rang a bell.

We live and learn but first we have to live. I hope everythings running smoothly now.

Ohh how I wish it was!! At the moment it has just had a new maf, but still blowing a bit of smoke (Black) when under load, seems worse when car is loaded up. Fuel consumption is around 40mpg round town, taking her for a run tommorow so I will see how she goes from there, also slight hesitation sometimes at low revs when you put your foot down, apart from that it is OK!! Have just put a bottle of Wynns diesel treatment in the tank as bro in law has said that could be a legacy prob from the maf being faulty, hopefully we will see tommorow LOL.

    Thanks Spud,
I have a thread already going about this problem, just waiting now for a reply! The advice I have had already though has been good ie only use a genuine maf! I had 2 before biting the bullet, but still not convinced that this one is 100%, although the other cause of the symptoms could be a split hose, so if the fuel additive doesnt work will be giving all the hoses the once over!!
