    Hi All,

I have looked at threads on this site about the climatronic problems, mine also has a problem where by the fan will only work first thing in the morning - genereally if its below 2 degrees (but then thats not always the case).

When the fan does kick in it sounds a little rough - anyone had a similar problem? I had thought the brushes had gone but read other threads and they suggest that the fan simply will not work at all - but mine works for about 10 mins on a morning! The climatronic system does flash for about 15 seconds indicating there is a fault in the system (all fuses are ok and I had it plugged into a diagnostics which showed the following parts as being at fault - 01274 Air Flow Flap Motor V71 and 01273 Fresh Air Blower V2) Its a bit cold driving to work!!!

    Cheers

    Matthew

Okay guys, Hope you can help

Recently my mate wrote off his Polo TDI sport. Today we went to salvage some parts and i decided to take his Electronic Climate control, hoping to fit it in mine as i have the 3 Dails in my Polo.

When i got back i tried fitting it but its got completly different plugs at the back. Could i take this to VW and they fit if for me and use some sort of adapter to make them fit? I mean i want the electric one instead of the dails and im not going out for another car for that.. not to mention myns a 04 plate and im still paying for it!

Hope you guys can help me

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I would not have thought it would work as the climatronic works via sensors in different places in the car and electronically opperated flaps etc?

    But good luck anyhow

Got it sorted - took out the glovebox and whacked the fan - it kicked into life and has been working ever since - not a repair method favoured by the haynes workshop manual - but it worked and ?I now have loverly aircon!

    Cheers

I have a 2004 touran and the climatronic fan has stopped working, all dials operate fine but just no fan, i've checked all the fuses and nothing is blown,

i had the same problem last year and the dealer told me a fuse had blown..... even though i had checked them all and none had blown in either of the fuse boxes.....

is there something they're not telling me..... is there another fuse in the system besides fuse cover in the 2 main fuse boxes?

    anyone experienced the same symptoms?

any ideas before i start to take things to pieces please

Take the panel off where your front passengers feet would be. The panel that is under the dash, You should see a couple of wires check these are okay and plugged in.
