Delivery times

Hi, just interested on other peoples experiences with vehicle ordering through UK main dealers. I ordered an A4 avant s-line Exec (LHD) in the beginning of March where I was faithfully told that the car would be delivered in mid-June, but with the new model due there has been a delay, irritating and expensive for me (dealer disclaims any acknowledgement to saying any such a thing). I then used the customer help line to find any relevant info and was provided with the build week and delivery week which I then told the relevant salesperson at my local dealership who immeadiately went on the defensive "I have been in this business for x amount of years it not possible to do that routine", and now confidence is a little shaken and I have requested a build spec sheet for my car just to make sure that if when I go to pick it up and it is not right then I have tried my hardest to ellieviate the problem before it arrises. OH MY GOD!! Talk about trying to get blood out of a stone! DO YOU NOT TRUST US!!!(NO) Has anyone ever requested the build spec for there car prior to delivery if so how and on what grounds?

Get the Comms number and call customer service for the spec !!

I have the car on order through ARVAL leasing, so no reason given, but checking the web site they haven't confirmed delivery date yet!

Audi reserved me a week 22 buld slot without telling me. If it comes very soon then I'm happy. If there's any delays which it seems like there could be and it nudges towards August then I'll certainly be looking to hold it until the 59 plate.

i have a car on order through arval as well sline exec told delivery should be 22 june. we ordered it 9/3/09, they ordered it end of march.

so i hope i get an 09 spec car, with the correct options on.#

Well, the order for my replacement S4 should be going in today - will be interesting to see how long I have to wait

I do hope the excitingly-shaped mirrors and 3G MMI make up for all the hassle I've been through!

You will like 3G MMI the jukebox function is the best part. My Ipod is now left at home. The the DVD playback is very good.

Re ordered early April, no confirmed delivery yet, but dealer has already agreed Sept delivery if I want
