After ordering on the 24th April I have been told my 2.0T SE Avant Auto8 with only cruise, hill hold and 6 spokes as extras will be delivered on 26 June, 9 weeks, what should I expect the actual delivery date to be - earlier, later or on time? Any experience?

I'd say they'll be about right. It's difficult to go on past experience when they're shutting the factory during May and starting MY2010 production in week 22 (last week of May) so there may be a bit of a back log but due to the down turn that should cancel it out and hence we're back where we started
MY2010 A4 Avant 2.0 TFSI quattro S-line Exec - Aruba Blue, 19" alloys, Full Leather, B & O, 3G Tech Pack, Adaptive Lights, Dynamic Susp, Folding Mirrors, Power tailgate, Storage/Light Packs, Parking Plus, Heated Seats, Rear Blinds, Load Rails, Privacy Glass, Rear Airbags, TPMS, Load Liner

    Gone : 09 A4 Avant, B6 S4, TT, Golf GTi...and the rest are embarassing!

That's interesting. It sounds like they have a bit of a back log.

That could be good for me as I've set my self the challenge of keeing the car I have and taking delivery of the correct car on Sept 1st.

If I can lose maybe 3 weeks before ordering that the date should be in August and then I can easily say I want it on a 59 plate.

It's a challenge so there's no guarantees but I think that would be fair.

I was told that the waiting time is about 11 weeks for new S4, and at least on this dealers are pretty accurate.

    Hi...

I ordered mine on the 07.04.09 and have a provisional build date of week 25 (17.06.09). So it looks like the end of June start of July for delivery.

If you order an A4 today you should get in August. Good Luck with the delay process

Thanks all, I will update as I get the car or any more info. BTW, what differences will I see in the MY2010 vs MY2009 or the brochure I ordered against? Mine will be a virtually stock SE.

Hi, just interested on other peoples experiences with vehicle ordering through UK main dealers. I ordered an A4 avant s-line Exec (LHD) in the beginning of March where I was faithfully told that the car would be delivered in mid-June, but with the new model due there has been a delay, irritating and expensive for me (dealer disclaims any acknowledgement to saying any such a thing). I then used the customer help line to find any relevant info and was provided with the build week and delivery week which I then told the relevant salesperson at my local dealership who immeadiately went on the defensive "I have been in this business for x amount of years it not possible to do that routine", and now confidence is a little shaken and I have requested a build spec sheet for my car just to make sure that if when I go to pick it up and it is not right then I have tried my hardest to ellieviate the problem before it arrises. OH MY GOD!! Talk about trying to get blood out of a stone! DO YOU NOT TRUST US!!!(NO) Has anyone ever requested the build spec for there car prior to delivery if so how and on what grounds?
