What is the standard tyre size on these?

I think I'm gonna need some tyre in the coming months and have seen some standard VW 17" wheels with thyres, so just want to have a look what the difference in price is.

I know it will be budget tyres on the 17's, but would be nice to see it on some bigger wheels.

My 54 Highline 130 is fitted with 205/60/15 tyres although I have seen 195s specified as the standard size, perhaps the 205s were an option.

I've just replaced my two fron t tyres with 205/60/15 firestone's: £59.90 fitted etc from an online site "best buys--" but fitted by universal: The spec looks very good; especially for moving water.

So how did you get those on a 15" wheel then .

Mine are 205/60/15. Handles fine (on Monroe shocks). Tinkering with tyre pressures makes a huge difference to handling. Dealers and tyre shops seem to under inflate. I never go less than 33 all round, more at the back when loaded up. This varies a little with tyre make too.

The ride will be quite harsh on 17" I'd say. (Ok it will handle a little better, but the Passat wasn't made to corner on rails)
