Hi, me again. Okay so my 1999 AGG engine was cutting out intermitantly, so I did relay 30, throttle body, new coil pack, and finally ignition switch, and horray it been fine for 3k miles, totally trusted it. Until few days ago it died comming down the slip road off the Mway. AA spent an hour trying everything but the coil is not getting the signal to spark.

ECU out, cant find any dodgy wiring. turns over fine. alarm ignition imobiliser disconected - it spent a week in an auto electrical specialist who could find no fault, ive used them for 15 years - just no spark.

last resort is a s/h ECU off ebay, BUT will it work or will the factory fitted imobiliser reject it?

okay havent had the codes read this time as its now dead on the drive, but last time in the garage it didnt give a reading. but before it would work after a cold night, before dying again. Now it just wont spark.

can any one suggest anything or say is the ECU transplant will be rejected?

    Cheers
