Definately right bends because, where was the mobile camera:- approx 50 yards after the Gatso, parked in a layby looking across a right hand bend. Double points within 50 yards if caught on both cameras, or could you claim that it was a single offence??

Single offence I think. They put mobile cameras after gatso's to catch all those who put there right foot down thinking its safe!!

i'm sure there was a guy in the papers about a year ago who was caught speeding through about half a dozen cameras, then tried to convince the courts he could only be penalised for a single offence. I'm sure he won, but as for what penalty was handed out i have no idea.

    Mobile Safety Camera Units

Have a look at the mobile unit at the top, all seeing van. Also notice that the only camera that can operate in the rain or dark is a gatso. the rest are useless. So speed camera get people to reduce speed in fine weather....go figure that out

Not for much longer they are testing a speed camera with night vision just like the night googles the army uses. Then they can get you anytime night or day in any weather.

Just a word of warning. In the Surrey area a new type of speed van has appeared. The existing vans have the large rear windows and Hi-Vis tape markings on the back. These new vans are larger like MB Vito white but no tape or marking at all . They seem to come with a couple of Police motorcycle riders who keep themselves tucked out of sight. On approaching they look for all the world like a bog standard delivery van. Be on the look out.

Yes , providing there was not a County boundary running between them . If there was you would have committed the offence in two Counties.

Ah, another wonderful inconsistency in the law. Although you are still comitting the same offence (rather than the same offence twice) you are sitll charged twice for it.

Some stretches of the M25 you can lose your licence due to topping up in about 3 junctions.
