what we used to do is put a 17 or 19 mm socket in the bottom hinge and then sut the door slowly until the socket stops it the push the door shut but not to much, this will lift the door up and problem fixed.

i have exactly the same problem so im interested in a fix myself.

i would have thought something has just loosened and needs to be tightened

the doors drop when they are swung open all the way. there is adjustment on the catch on the pillars. the socket trick does work, only needs to be put in the hindge and close the door un till the socket stops it then push the door closed a bit more.

    Hi

had a similar problem only my door was rubbing on the sill. Found I had a bit of play in the bottom hinge (only noticeable when the door was nearly closed).Ended up putting a new hinge on - job done.

ok so you just fitted a new hinge to the door. is it easy to do because i have that problem as it is only noticable when the door is almost closed so it must be the same problem as wot u had. thanks

sorry for not getting back to you, been away for a couple of weeks. Yep it was fairly easly, removed the door trim and the bit of plastic in the drivers footwell - bolt hidden behind it, disconnect the wiring that passes into the door (speakers, elec windows etc.) support the door and undo a couple or three bolts.

Did it on my own (with a bit of moaning and swearing) and it took me about 3/4 of an hour. Probably a lot quicker if you've got someone to hold the door - If you have to do it on your own, I found a trolley jack quite usefull to support the door

My S4 drivers door dropped slightly and my mate who is sh*t hot with cars said it is a common problem. He opened my door fully open and we grapped the door and lifted it up. Seemed to help quite a bit, worth a try.
