99bora anti roll bar bushes

Hi all advice please, the anti roll bar bushes on my 99 Bora are shot as advised by VW, new bushes and clamps £22. labour £235. Is this something i could tackle myself? Anybody out there done this job themselves.

Got my anti roll bar bushed done yesterday best done by mechanic he used a crow bar quite hard to do would not takle myself also he fitted front discs and pads.

charged me 40 quid

Thanks for the info Boralad sounds like you got yourself a decent mechanic there if he's only charged you £40. Got a quote for the job off an independant VW mechanic £58 fitted said it would take him about an hour, bit of a no brainer really so Walkden VW here i come.

£58 quid still cheap enough yeah he charged me £40 quid cheap as i know him and always give him some sort of work
