    Mine are 255/35 19 Pirelli P Zero Rosso's

Salesman seemed to think this was rare for these to be fitted

Me thinks that these are going to be expensive to replace

I hope mine comes with these... As long as the wear rate is good...

I had the Dunlop's on my Golf GTI and thought they were OK, but they got slagged down by my friends on the GTI Forums...

Our local Audi dealer and Grimsby dealer have S4's in stock with these on them.

My 2.0T S line with the standard 18" 5 spoke came with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's I know these tyres got slated as being poor in snow, but grip very well in the wet and dry, quiet too so no complaints so far.

I went for the service and maintenance contract when I bought my car, I did look at the tyre costs at the time and decided with the 18" the cost of the tyre cover did not balance out, with the 19" different story.

    18" 245/40
Bridgestone and Pirelli P Zero Rosso approx £180, Michelin Pilot Sport £240

    19" 255/35
Bridgestone and Pirelli P Zero Rosso approx £240, Michelin Pilot Sport £325

Another to consider choosing a brand is the sidewall design the Bridgestone offer good protection against curbing.

Audi A4 2.0T, Lava Grey, Piano black inserts, S Line Executive, Heated front seats, Bang & Olufsen, Telephone prep low, Parking Plus, Hill hold assist, Cruise control, Interior light package, Folding mirrors.

My A4 140 TDI SE with 18" rims came with ditto 245/40ZR18 93Y Michelin Sport Pilot. Just done 23k and need new fronts. Slightly bothered by not the best tracking stability - an independent dealer mate swears by Contis but my ATS Euromaster says avoid Contis like the plague and stick with Michelin. At £220 a pop I need to make the right choice in the next week or so!

Unless any of you know different I might stick with Michelin - better the devil that I (and Audi) know - plus I still have plenty of life on the Michelin rears.

My 1.8T 160 SE with standard 17" has Contis which are wearing well and, on visiting for a rebalance, my local National Tyre Services recommended sticking with.

You pays your money, you makes your choice......

On the tyre subject, do Audi offer tyre insurance via their dealers or is that a dealer specific item?
With my local BMW dealer, £300 gets you a 3yr cover, think it was max 1 tyre/per corner per year but given price of tyres (esp run flats), it is a no brainer.
Asked my Audi dealer but he was trying to place the full maintenance plan on me...
Will look into it closer to delivery.
Found this website to, only 1 tyre/corner over life of the policy but it is cheap.
Any experience with the above or Audi dealer provided tyre insurance?

    Your salesman should be sacked!

Tyre protection is one of the things the dealer should be pushing along with Gap Proection etc

IIRC it's about £250 but I don't recall the limitations.
