How to install Xenons

Hi guys, im looking to change my halogen headlights to original xenons. Can anyone tell me whats involved, ie are they direct plug and play or is it more complicated?

No they arent plug and play. You'll need wiring adapters. To make it fully legal you need auto-levelling and headlight washers adding.

Possible but expensive.

where do i get the wiring adapters from, and how much much would they be?

Since we are on the topic of xenon's, is it possible to take my a4 to Audi and have them fit xenons with the full works/ leveling and washers. and are we talking mega ££££ to get this done?

What model/age of A4?

Audi will not do this retro-fit, although other places might depending on the age of your car. It wont be cheap.

so is it a simple job of just fitting the xenons and using an adapter
or do you need to fit a light ballast/switch relay etc??

I have a A4 b7 05 S line and its running on standard halogen lights
but i would prefer projector xenon's so i would need the whole works.

Most aftermarket projector style headlamps don't have auto leveling so makes them illegal once the HID was installed.

I was planning on getting projector headlights and installing a HID kit but then was informed that they would have to be auto leveling and have jet washers installed into the bumper to make them legal

Still new to this game so dont know much lol

yeah was told something the same but then
I know plenty of ppl that have older cars eg saxo's focus's
with HID's fitted and they passed there mot??

Well thanks for your time and replies, been on the hunt and found ones from America that they will adjust the angle of the light for me and they come with the HID kit
