I prefer them to the others. No pretensions etc.

20 spoke ones will be a night mare to keep clean so that's that done as far as I'm concerned.

To be honest this thread is the same as putting on up saying "why silver?". It's just personal reference.

I can understand its your preference. It just seems that so many people want to follow the crowd. i.e. I want 19" alloys and the only choice RS 4 style

After all why did we order SAT NAV when you can have a Tom Tom but we all know what happened there

These do look good although I must admit these have become very common, seeing these on just as many VW vans as audis.

The 20 spoke BBS look the dogs nuts and I would buy some if I could afford it. Saw some on an A6 Avant the other day and they looked brill.
Agree with the cleaning issue though- 15 spoke DTMs are bad enough

Saying that the RS4 style are good too- but are becoming as common as the RS6 5 spokes which were stuck on all the A4 S-lines.

Always seems Audi hand-me-down the alloy wheel designs between models

You're not wrong. The current RS6 wheels are already on S-lines in the US

Plain and simply I like the wheels and they look good. The 20 spoke are a nightmare to clean - especially the inside of the wheel. Plus I actually do not like them! Would prefer something like OZ Superturismos.

I don't think it is anything to do with trying to look like an RS4 - I think if they were not offered as an extra and people were getting imitation ones then yes.

You could start this conversation about anything - why that colour? Why take the badges off the back?

I must agree with a lot of people on here. I was put off by the 20 spoke ones on account of the cleaning. The 7 arm double spoke ones are bad enough to clean as it is ...
