    I have passat 2003 1.9 tdi 100 BHP, when the car is on about 800 rpm the both head lamp is shaking and it thas drivin me crazy, whent to ask VW and they say is normal but I don't trust them, is there anything that I can check or replace that would stop this??? also when I lift the bonet all the engine compartment is shaking. When I put presure by hand on head lamp it stops but i can't drive with my hand on head lamp

    PLEASE HELP

    Headlamp is not sitting down onto the frame behind the bumper properly.
    Remove bumper, fiddle with the bottom fixings lights, all is well. No way of doing it with bumper on i'm afraid.

    How hard is to take the bumper off??? can you do it anything about the engine shaking?

    SWITCH IT OFF !!

    its diesel they all shake to some extent .

    its a bumper off job and lift those brackets slightly.

    I know the can be a bit of shaking cos is diesel but I had before mondeo and astra a bit time ago and never was that bad, you sit in car and can feel everything is moving just wonder if may need new engine mounts or something and i will check the bumper over the weekend. Car is done just over 55k so if it need be for new engine mounts VW didn't do good job with passat, but that's just my opinion
