have a 2006 T5 shuttle with 82 K on the clock there has been a slight noises coming from the steering and the van was checked by vw 2 weeks ago and the mounts were changed but a week later the noise started again and van is at vw again and they have told me that the engine mounts have gone and need replacing. I have done 1,200 miles since they changed the other 1s they said maybe it was a faulty batch and if the problem is still there then they will have to investigate further

anyone know if what might have caused the mouts to go in 1,200 miles or what might be causeing the problem. The cv boots and driveshafts have been recently changed

    Thanks

When you say noises from the steering, what sort of noises?
    Clonking,tapping,creaking ect.

If you had engine mount problems you usualy would get clutch judder away from junctions lights ect,
