    Good day All .
Whilst driving along the motorway in 5th gear (Top )when i went to accelerate ,the car would not pull .
I turned off into the motorway services and engine idled ok and continued to run . I turned off the ignition and checked under the bonnet and found nothing amiss. ( no dash lights )check said ok !
Started the engine and had no problems with the remainder of the journey ,or any problems since.
I wonder if any one else has had any problems like this ?
car is 02 1.9 tdi 130 sport manual with 61K on the clock .
    Any ideas ?
    Kind regards Trevor Simpson.

Have a fault code read done; it will come up with code 17964 or 17965, more than likely the latter.

They both cause the engines computer to go into limp home mode which you reset by turning the ignition off and on again. I don’t want to speculate without a fault code read, it is very important you get that done as soon as possible.
