hi, can you look at the satnav unit in the link and let me know what type it is.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=110378299413

Also, i have an audi a4 b6, with a double din, symphony 2, with fully amplified bose. Other than the gps antenna, can you clarify exactly what i need to make this work (i do not need the tmc thingy) i just want it to work as it should and work in red display also (i know this needs coding in VAGCOM)

I believe i need a wiring harness, and that should be it. Am i also correct in saying i need an additional cd player to listen to cd's on the above unit?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is the last one, can the above unit support european maps?

    thanks in advance

after a bit more diggin, am i correct in saying this is a RNS-D?

Also i believe the tcm unit or whatever it is, is to allow dirrections in the middle red display (not route diversion if there is traffic like i thought)

    thanks

It is RNS-d, your better off looking for a RNS-e.
You can get ready made looms for bose.
    DVD from 2007 inc. TMC.
Retrofitted RNS-e will allow directions on the DIS, you have to switch the unit off then on.
A good site for all Audi nav is.....

I'd say its expensive, the RNS-D is very inferior to the RNS-E. I wouldnt bother fitting a D, you get more value from a Tom Tom! The E model is worth the effort though.
