is A6 Towbar the same as VW Passat

as title guys, i am looking for a second hand towbar and there is more available for the vw passat i was wondering as these cars are very similar if the towbars are compatable ? also is the a6 saloon and estate the same ?

any ideas ?

Have you tried looking on a towbar supplier's website? If the model number is the same, then they should be interchangeable.

i looked on a couple but the letters and nembers were different ie aidi was AD and vw was VW.

yes thats a good price but i can get one cheaper on ebay i think, the weird thing is the passat towbar is £20 cheaper new than the A6 is this the manufacturers chanrging extra just becasue you own an audi, i cant think of any reason why it would cost £20 more to make.
