    yet power seems ok on acceleration. The car in question a Passat TDI 130 02 plate has recently had an oil & filtre change using PD oil. Also had break pad change all round & pad warning light bleeps & stays on too!
    If anyone can advise me i'd much appreciate it.

    Not so sure about the juddering, best advice is to get the car read for faults. Look in the vagcom sub forum to see if there i anyone local who'll do it for a few beers.

    As for the brakes, if a garage did it, take it back and demand they sort it.

    Sounds to me though that the pad wear indicator wiring is either not there (cheap pads used with no indicators built in) or it has been incorrectly connected.
