    Default knocking at the left rear – 24-03-2007,06:17 PM
    HI guys,

    This just started today...

    Basically a rattly knocking sound from the rear left.. this shocks, bushes????

    Driving me mad, I hate noises lol

    could be......check all nut's and bolt's around that area
    B5 passat needs a supercharger and does'nt leak

    There is an exhaust bracket that is prone to rotting out / snapping off that causes this.

    Was the onset of this knock sudden ? If so my money is on the exhaust.

    I had the window down this morning on the way to work and i actually did hear a metally rattle sound....

    Could be exhaust then....
