    Hi, At the minute I have 205/40/r17. What is the max tyre size i can fit onto my vw golf cabrio 1998 keeping my 17 inch alloys

    I drive a cabrio as well and that is the recommended tyre size for 17s - there's a guide here - http://www.alloywheels.com/fitment.a...rch=Volkswagen I'd imagine there'd be problems with rubbing etc if you go any wider although I stand to be corrected.

    cheers mate also I cleaned my throttle body by taking off the air intake and my car has no problems now !!!!!!
