Hi all, I am trying to do an auto scan using VAG-COM free version, the scan starts ok, but when it gets to address 03, the hand brake light flashes on the dash & beeps, and I get a message that VAG-COM needs to be activated & registered, I am using it on my laptop with VISTA installed, I have a GENDAN interface. any help would be appreciated.

Hand brake light flashes? I don't mean to make you sound stupid, but you're sure its not the ABS light?

ABS flashing and beep is normal when accessing address 03, its to let you know that the ABS is deactivated while accessing that module.

If you want to scan the remaining controllers, you need to activate your license at a cost of $99 for the 409.1 license, which I believe you are using.
