    Hi

Can anyone help with what steps I should follow to remove the steering wheel on my 2.8 SE 1998 A6.

Is there anything special I need to do?

    Cheers

Has anyone done this successfully, as I would like to hear from you.

My car is a Audi A6 (C5) with Tiptronic gearbox.

I thought you could change up and down on the steering wheel provided the lever was either in 'D' or to the right in Tip mode.

This link says the paddles only work if the lever is in Tip mode.

    Which is it?

I'd have thought it would only work in tip mode - in D, surely once you've changed, the automatic mode of D would change back to what it thinks is the best gear?
