    How much roughly should a cambelt, tensioner, water pump, etc change be for a 3.0 V6? Cheapest I have so far is £425, hoping it find lower.

    i recently paid £320 for this, but on a 1.8t. at a local german specialist (in poole dorset)

    £425 is almost bang on for aV6 with pump etc.

    £320 is also bang on for a 1.8t too.

    mate mines up for a change in a bit and ill be more than happy to drive up country to have it done for that!

    i have just got mine changed 0n my 04 reg 1.8t cab for 220 inc vat that was for a full cambelt kit tensioners etc and also a new water pump all genuine AUDI parts too and at a decent local garage too well happy

    garage is called The Smithy Garage in Westhoughton near Bolton

    Make sure the quoted prices for the 3.0 V6 include all the rollers!!

    I know that one of my local Audi dealers are quoting for the basic cambelt and tensioner for the big Audi engines just to get the car in, then when it's stripped down they are upselling the rollers etc!!! I have some good friends who work there! Well worth double checking to be sure there is no nasty suprises!
