    Question A3 2002 (52) 1.6 Sport Gearbox – 10-04-2009,09:40 PM
    Hi all,

    I’m looking for some advice.

    I’m thinking of buying a 2nd hand Audi A3 1.6 Sport


    My question is, does this 1.6 suffer from the same self machining syndrome that all golf 1.4 / 1.6's have?

    I believe the gearboxes affected are of 02A model with the following codes:

    DUU
    DUW
    DUS
    DUV
    DLP
    DNZ

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    yes matey it does....just fixed mine and looking to get shot asap

    found this site via ebay.......just pics and guides to repair these boxes
