i have put an after market stereo in and cant get any sound from rear speakers i saw somewhere that the rear speakers are amped can you tell me which wires need joining cheers

the rears are amped
you need a loom from halfords etc just tell them you have a half amped a4 they will sort you make sure you get an adult or you'll end up with 1 for a fiesta

i had this problem when i first installed my after market stereo, but played around with the sound options on the headunit and got the fulll surround sound, i suggest you do the same before do DIY wiring jobs which may not be needed. my stereo is a JVC KD-AVX44.

I had to get one of the autoleads adapters to send the sound to the amp in the rear on my 2003 cab - it connect to the high density connector going to the stock radio.

There are different forms of adapters:

Fully amped, rear amped or no amp - check in your boot right hand side if it is amped or not (amp is behind the covering)
