interior lighting

HELLO all,

not a big prob but on my 2003 passat all the doors turn on the interior lights and under door lighting apart from the passanger door . no interior lights come on at all when you open door .. i have looked at wires and look good. is there a swicth in
the door or some thing that could be fauty??

you say you checked the wires! did you replace the bulb???

Hi,

I believe the sensor is built into the door lock, when opened it activates the lights. I had issues with the lights and locking, replace the lock for that door and lights started working when that door was opened, may by the same in your case.

that was it . put in new lock has done the trick.
