You can retro-fit anything if your pockets are deep enough!

B8 will be tricky as the software side for long code is vehicle specific and vag com can not store permanent code changes to the network.Once the vehicle enters the dealer for repair/service the vas diagnostic test includes a comparison check which checks for correct control unit versions and codes,if a retro fit is detected then a code change is suggested to the operator to reinstall the correct configuration so any long code changes in this case to convience or door control units will be reversed.I have yet to retro fit folding mirrors on B8 but i would suggest for a start both door control units and the folding mirror motors plus the switch will stand you at £500 + as i have recently converted a 2008 S3 and that came to £600 + LABOUR
All retro fits for B8 and A5 etc require a SVM code to change the servers information for current vehicle configuration, this ensure the retro fit which must be Audi approved stays permanent.Hope that helps and no matter how deep your pockets are without the correct SVM code you will have problems as all well known retro fitters will tell you after they have learn t the hard way after retro fitting Audi phone prep.Regards A8
