Finally got a rotary machine polisher (1400w with 6 speed settings and all the attachments).

As soon as the better weather arrives I'd like to tackle light swirl marks on my 2.5 TDi Avant Quattro (dark metallic blue) and my wife's A2 which is Cobalt Blue, which frankly looks like black.

Can anyone recommend a decent polish that will remove swirl marks? I want to take it easy, as using for the first time I'm apprehensive about over-working areas, and don't want an aggresive cutting compound.

History: cars usually get washed once a week (never auto car-wash), and clayed (couple of times a year), and Meguires stage 3 Carnuba wax applied every 3 months. I'm happy with wax for usability and application. Used to use Mer, but it was a nightmare, as is Autoglym. Also tried something with added Teflon, but results didn't last.

Budget wise - products need to come in under £30 or so.

    Farecla G10.

Just bought some myself for my dark blue metallic A6. It isn't suffering from swirls but I would just like to give it a deep shine again for a bit.

Also the detailers on here recommend Zymol wax. Might be worth trying, I certainly intend to at some stage. I currently use Mer too.

    Hi

This is what you need for straight out the box for great results, forget the Farecla. The products below will be easier for you to work with.

    http://elitedetailer.com/cgi-bin/hca...mrid=1&cmpid=2

    For the sealing/waxing:

    http://elitedetailer.com/cgi-bin/hca...mrid=1&cmpid=2

The Zaino above will wipe the floor with Zymol unless you spend £7k+ for the Royale Glaze. It will outshine and outlast for protection.

    Best Regards
