Lads and Ladies any help would be greatly appreciated..

The electrics in the drivers side door of my car(02 Audi A4) are gone, windows, mirrors and safety locking switch, at first i thought it was a fuse problem so i referred back to the manual to get the fuse location and replaced the fuse but they are still not working, I failed an NCT yesterday for only this reason, can anyone shed any light? Do the electrics just go after time? could it be water damage that got into the door panel? can i fix it myself? and if i bring it to a garage is it gonna cost me a fortune???

Also in case this helps the passenger door electric window isnt working but the little LED/light on the electric window button/switch is illumnated.. The LEDs/lights on the Drivers door are not illumnated..

    Thanks in advance,
    ST

Check the loom where it runs into the door.
Pull back the rubber sleeve and check for broken wires...

Had this problem over the weekend. Live and earth wire broken. Canbus wires were ok. I had to give them a slight pull to make sure as teh plastic was holding them together, they had been working from time to time but only making contact because of the pastic. I took the door panel off and ran new wires in so the soldered wires wouldn't be in the flex area. taking the door panel was a little tedious and not obvious where to pull! Best of luck.

    Hi Guys,

Im having the same problem with the Mrs A4, the central locking works, and the passenger window switch on the drivers side but the drives window and the mirrors dont work at all.

I replaced the switch yesterday but no luck, Is there any other fuses in the car besides the ones in the side of the dash ?

Or would it be broken wires ?

    Cheers
