audi 90 20v Q. The short braided fuel pipe between the fuel rail and the pressure regulator part no. 054 133 717 D is now unavailable through main dealers. Any ideas where a new part might be sourced? What happened to VAGparts?

    thanks

    Duncan

You may have to get one made, try Think Automotive, they may be able to help.

I had a part made by a local hydrolic specialist but it has not lasted, realy wanted an original. I could get one from the USA for $60 but VAG should do it for £13!! There are also references on the internet to firms in russia and chez republic oh and holland, but none in the UK. Very irritating

I regularly place orders with VAG Germany for obsolete parts, I could ask for you but it will be a month or two. If it is obsolete from VAG UK it will be worldwide from the main network. According to the system it went obsolete 01/07/2007. There are ways of getting some obsolete parts if they hold stocks and common parts often asked for are being re-introduced but dealing with the obsolete stores is a trial.

    Hi,

Vagparts was buying his stock in Euros, the operation became unviable when the pound fell.

You could point your hydraulics guy toward the Pirtek Automotive hose range, there should be something there that would work:

    http://www.pirtek.co.uk/pirtek-produ...couplings.aspx

if it's any help, I have a used one you could have?

The Rise of the Euro and fall of the pound made their business plan unworkable. They would not have been able to get it for you anyway, it is obsolete in Germany as well.

    That screams "scam" to me.

Avoid that link like the plague.

Crasher will eat his PC if it proves to be genuine.

http://www.hurdrolland.co.uk/ is the main domain which appears to belong to a firm of Architects.

The VAGParts thing looks odd - I've sent them an email to ask.

Please DO NOT buy anything from that link yet
