i had the autoglym finish if that what your talking about.
To be honest, im not convinced that they actually done anything as the iterior of the car had a what I can only describe as a boot print on the rear seat and the exterior had some sticky residue on the roof. (which I have only just managed to remove yesterday with boiling water)

you are supplied with a nice cleaning kit to continue the upkeep of your car, but thats not worth the 300 you pay.

It does however protect/insure the interior from any stain that cant be removed in the first 3 years.

I took out the Autoglym finish and GAP insurance which meant I was able to get a better discount, but not enough to cover the cost of the two products.

I would be interested to know if autoglym is supposed to protect/insure against stone chips, as I have found a few of them recently.

    Jop

Thanks as always a timely reply. The autoglym finish was exactly what I was talking about.\

The Gap appears cheaper and possibly more comprehesive independently... do a quick google search. I believe the top gap package audi has goes as far as return to invoice cost (which may be a problem if the car was discounted heavily) whereas you can get full vehicle replacement insurance for under 300 online (ala).

I would not bother with the autoglym package. It's nothing that you coudln't do at home yourself for a lot cheaper! A good wax or sealant will give you better protection from the elements and will need to be applied 2 or 3 times per year. The autoglym will not protect from stone chips. I have not heard myuch about the interior but some 303 Fabric protector will help prevent stains. A couple of bottles will do the whole interior.

GAP - search around on the internet for the best price - it will be a lot cheaper than Audi!

I had AutoGlym on mine, but wouldnt pay the Audi dealer price. Secured an immediate discount by waiving a Halfords body services brochure in which they offer the same AutoGlym prep carried out at your home / office at a much lower price than the Audi Dealer was willing to quote.

If you buy the products together you get a nice discount which brings them in line with high street prices.
I preferred doing it this was as I can go back to audi for any of the problems.

The autoglym finish with audi also insures the seats against any staining or spillage if it doesn't come out.
While a can of scotch guard physically protects it for much less, you dont get the added benefit of a piece of paper stating that "if the scotch guard fails, not to worry, we'll replace/repair the fabric".

I think that they are worthwhile products that offer peace of mind. and like I say, brought together are reasonably competitive with a little audi markup for their trouble.

I would not say they only make a little as i think they make a killing, however as you say Jop it does give peace of mind which is why i went for it (supaguard version). When your paying out so much of you own cash any peace of mind is good.

Personally i find the exterior looks great with just a wash and shammy and the water beads constantly. The interior is extremely easy to clear up spills/marks.

    wolfy!!!

GAP Insurance and Autoglym Body care.

I cant remember the exact price as its all worked then re-worked into the final figure.

Either way I was happy with the price I paid (or totally bamboozled by the salesman and his calculator)
