    Hi

My 01 passat est sport 130, is giving me grief with the central locking frequently operating itself to unlock and the hazards flash (usually just once or twice) but sometimes this happens every 1-2 seconds.
I scanned the ccm and got codes for implausible signals on the drivers door and tailgate switches. I replaced these locks today and it has made no difference.
I went into measuring blocks on ccm - controller 46 and found activity on measuring block 8:

of the 4 'windows' CLOSED - OPEN - CLOSED - NO the second window (OPEN) would occasionally switch to 'NOT OPER'.

Can anybody suggest what this measuring block refers to and would it be the cause of the problem?
Can anybody shed any light on how the alarm interacts with the ccm

Another question unfortunately, my new drivers door lock no longer opens from the remote central locking, yet it locks ok. Also noticed the interior light does not come on when the driver's door is opened. These worked ok off the old lock, does a new doorlock need to be 'coded' in some way?

There is a door control module inside each door, not the tailgate. The ccm directly acts on the tailgate but the front door locks talk to the ccm via the door contol module. Try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes and trying the doors. Then rescan and see if you can find the door control module. (one for each door)

    Thanks Martin,

I would prefer to avoid disconnecting the battery, I do not have the radio code. Would disconnecting the CCM have the same effect?

Not sure if disconnecting ccm will work or not.

Best get it then. According to the radio book in the owner's manual VW will provide it for free, as long as you provide proof of ownership of the vehicle.

I'm going through central locking problems myself with the T5, its ever so frustrating.
