Where do you find your Engine Code, Different engine types : AGU/ARZ/ARX/AUM

I have an Audi A3 1.8T It seems like there are lots of different engine types such as : AGU/ARZ/ARX/AUM Where can I find this information out?

You should find the details on a sticker in the boot and on the first page of the service book.

i found mine stamped on the engine. take the engine cover off and look on the left hand side of the engine block and u should see the 3 letters stamped on the block somewhere. sorry about not being precise with my info as i cant remember exactly where 2 look but i defo know its stamped on the block. the letters should look like its been stamped in using a centre hole punch, loads of dots makin out the 3 letters. hope this helps.
