does anyone know what is involved in getting the memory seat control panel installed into a 2003 a4 cab?

i already have the electric seats, but wondered if it is just a case of getting the memory panel and installing it into the door (and connecting the wiring etc, and maybe a bit of vagcomming).

    any help much appreciated

It is possible, lots of extra wiring is required though as there wont be any of the wires present in your door, or indeed the rest of the car.

It maybe cheaper to get your self down the breakers and buy a seat with it in or buy the control panel..

If im right in thinking... all you may need is a live going to the control panel on the seat ???

If you want the memory option then its possible but wont be easy. Quite a lot of extra wiring may be required.

For just the heating option then not so much may be needed,

You need to tell us what your trying to fit!

sorry forgot to add that bit, im trying to fit the memory option. the car already has heated seats. as mentioned above, with electric seats its so hard to get your driving position back.

Anything is possible but it wont be easy, or cheap.

You'll need to add quite a bit of wiring and take a lot of the car to pieces. Audi wont entertain doing the job so you'll invalidate your warranty as well.

Its an option you should've ordered from the factory!

its a showroom car so already built. i also asked about retrofitting front parking sensors, they said they would not do that either due to "software issues" :|
