    Default AMI iPod not connecting – 23-11-2008,06:20 PM
    I have used the Audi iPod cable Serial No 4F0 051 510K and tried to connect both a 4th Gen iPOD and an IPOD Nano video, to my 2008 A4 SE through the AMI interface, but to no avail. AMI displays the message that the device is not connected. Any ideas on what may be the problem. Is there a need to upgrade the AMI software?

    I had a similar problem as follows:
    The dealer supplied me with a iPod cable and the AMI just did not recignise the iPod at all. It turns out theat there are two versions of the cable. There is some confusion with the information the dealer had on the correct cable.
    I now have two cables one works and the other does not. If you want the part number I can look them up for you.
