Hi all, Recently ive taken a serious likeing to the mark4 golf and have decided to pull my finger out and buy one, havnt purchased the car yet but ive been looking at the few mods i am going to do to her, ive seen a fair old few with the a8 wheels i think, and have decided i like them enough to go out and get myself a set, wanted to ask which size would be best, am i right in saying 18's go on the no problem? i've found a website which sell the wheels but they have no centre caps, or no centre cap sticker should i say and wanted to also ask where i can get the vw sticker or centre cap from?

the website ive found sells the wheel in 2 sizes and wanted to know which would fit? 18x7.5 and 18x8? i presume one is wider? the tyres that will be fitted i 225x40x18 just wanted to check that will all fit in my arches?

the wheels ive found are in a dyamond cut finish which i think is like a chrome jobby? wanted to know who does them in plain old silver as im not sure about the dyamond ones.

i know its long winded but thankx for any info in advance.

So your buyin the wheels before the car.....

They are the exact wheels i want, they're also known as RS8 alloys...

They look the nuts on golf IV's and Boras

They are quite cheap at £550 with tyres, and they do interest free finance...

Hey! I've got them on my VW Golf and they fit perfect. I've got the 17" though, as I was incorrectly told that the 18"'s won't fit without having to do changes to the arches etc. I bought mine for £400 with alloys and brand new Dunlop Sport tyres... bought them in January 2006 from a guy in Watford, UK. Top guy, as he done me a cash price.

Everyone is getting these alloys now though, so its not that special. At the time, I wanted to be unique so bought them, but its annoying seeing all VW Golf's driving around with them.

agreed on that one, but there so cheap and effective. im not sure what else i would get, maybe multi spoke 18's.... not sure?

The car is being bought on finance, I have the money for the wheels, ive decided i want the car, just a matter of finding the right one at the right price.

how hard is it to get 19's on a mark4?

Yes that does look good, is that on a passat, bora or a golf? have you got any pictures of the whole car?

also, are they genuine rs8 wheels or are they replicas with centre caps from vw? if they are where did you get your centre caps from?

    thankx again

its a golf mk4 gt tdi 150, sorry mate, dont have any low res pics to post on here for you.

i'll try get some pics when the weather clears (if.....LoL)

when i bought the car from a independant vw audi dealer it had on the original 16's, i asked about the rs4's and he cut me a deal.

he must just get the caps from the main vw place, i would of thought that the wheels were genuine, but i have a feeling that there a vw's vw own copy if that makes sence, i could be wrong.

also beware, multi spoke wheels are a mare to keep clean, it takes ages too !!!!!!!!!
