    HI,
I have intention to install a cruise control on my Audi A4 Avant 1.9 tdi 2004 year. This evening I had taken a few pictures of control unit (J 527) and his part number is : 8E0 953 549 S. Does this control unit support cruise control? By the way, my car does not have multifunction steering wheel neither phone integration. I try to count the wires which enter into control unit (without disconecting, it was difficult to count) and there are 12. Do I need to add some other wire from unit to some other place (for example engine control unit) and where or I need only to add a cruise control handel and to reprogram engine control unit?
    Thanks for replies.

Thanks for Your prompt reply. I have just read Your post and I do not understand fiting of wire from dash (blue conector) to earth, is this only who wants to instal on board computer handel? I have on board computer (even in colour), so for instaling cruise control (only the handel) I need :control unit with index N, handel and steering column lower cowling and to recode control unit with vag com, as I understand Your thread?

Yes ignore the on board computer part if you already have it.
Fit the steering column electrics index N and the lower cowling plus the switch then code the steering column electrics for cruise and enable the engine ecu for cruise. All the info for setting the cruise up with vag com is present on my post
