Used some Millers myself and it does seem to reduce smoke on hard acceleration. I bought it for the cleaning effect more than anything. Paid about £11 at Halfords if I remember correctly.

Apparently, Forte diesel treatment is good stuff too.

I started using Shell V Power diesel subsequently though and this has the same end result I guess. V Power seems to have a very similar smell to Millers Diesel Power (it stinks!), so it probably has similar additives in it.

    HTH

    Cheers

I can recommed Millers. Good stuff that seems to work well in combination with Shell Diesel Extra. I actually had a drop in MPG when using Shell V Power diesel.

Have 130 bora, currently on my 4th bottle of millers power4 sport and I have to say it does improve the performance slightly and make the car more responsive. I find it makes things a bit smokier though but maybe that is because I double dose ... Didnt really notice a difference until half way into the first bottle though... Cant see it hurting the engine tbh so go for it, if mine craps out anytime soon ill be first onto this forum to give out stink about millers!!

That's good going. I'm not convinced by V Power though. I don't think it's worth the extra cost over Diesel Extra

I've been using V Power for the last 5 fills and to be candid, the mpg has got slightly worse if anything. Combined is now around 49mpg whereas it used to average just over 51, but that might be the weather, as cold is a killer for diesel mpg.

Test results apparently show that V Power generates a useful BHP gain though and I guess this is the real motivator.

I suppose a good compormise would be to use a decent brand of basic diesel and use Millers or similar?
