Hi, I bought a '02 GTI in Jan and since then I have had numerous problems and so far one of them cannot be fixed by the garage and I feel I may have another one occuring.

At first the temp gauge stopped working so I got the sensor replaced and it worked fine, then the engine light came on and they basically put it down to a sensor problem so that was sorted ok. Now is the fault that cannot be fixed...

Basically the fault is that STOP appears on the dash but doesnt light up any of the warning lights. When I first took it back to the dealer they said it was a faulty sensor on the coolant cap and cleaned it, took it away and the fault occured again. This time they replaced the sensor, once again the fault occurred, again they checked coolant levels and sensors and sent me on my way, once again it occured, when I took it back to the garage they couldnt get the fault ot occur and apparently becasue none of the warning lights are lighting up then an error code isnt being created so they cant source the problem.

My question is, is it a coolant issue or something else? The problem only occurs after turing right but not all the time.

The new faulti think may be occuring is that when sitting idling the engine seems a bit bumpy and over revs then drops and you can feel a slight judder when it is idling. I have a funny feeling the car is also running a little warm.

Hopefully someone out there can help.

Thanks
