Have you been dooing something on the car that could affect timing? Timing belt replacement?...
If your timing is off your car is most likely to: give the feel of hasitition on acceleration, detonations under load, vibrations of the engine....

If you had the cambelt changed i would suggest that as a cause!
Do you get detonations under load?
Is your idle lower than it used to be?
When pressing acceleration to the flor while idling do you get delayed response?
First thing I would check the timing and adjust if there is a need

I have had the same experience on 1.8 ADZ engine after removing dizzy,
Make sure that your leads are connected to the spark plugs in the right order at first!
