My 2004 A6 2.0 TDI has rear parking aid kit.

At weekend I was polishing and waxing tha car and used to much force wiping one of the sensors and managed to push it about an inch inside it's housing.

I cannot find any way to access the housing from inside the boot or under the rear bumper to enable me to push sensor back to its correct position.

Can anyone provide details how I can get the sensor back flush again (as it is now not working properly as I'm getting only a long beeping sound when putting car in reverse).

    Regards

Take it the lack of replies means no one else has any idea how I'd gain access to the rear of the parking sensor (so that I can push it back into its correct position) - I thought it would be easy but I'm scuppered.

Does anyone have any idea's on how I'd be able to pull the sensor back into it's correct position?

    Regards

Mate, I don't know, but I'd say you'll have to pull the bumper off.

I have a diagram from another helpful forum member, that I can pass on, if you like. It gives some detail on the bumper removal.

PM me your email address if you want me to email it on.

    Regards
    Mick

Thanks for your reply and offer to send me diagram for bumper removal but don't want to go down that road just yet (if at all).

Will try a few things over the weekend that might work

    Regards
