    Hey

Im just hoping someone can provide me with a sensible answer for my problem with my 1999 VW Golf 1.6 (mark 4).

Recently, my airbag warning light has popped up on my dash panel and doesnt dissapear! I got a garage to run a diagnostic check, and the reading came up with "faulty side airbag on driverside, too much resistance" (along with a few numbers, whatever that means).

Im looking to sell this car off soon, but i want to fix this problem first before I do.

Any suggestions will be greatly helpful.

    Thanks

    Shaz

Shaz, thats another problem that my car had developed. Had the same car as yours (T-plate) 1.6 SE. The airbag had a faulty wiring under the drivers seat (which the new owner told me about). I didn't bother asking him how much he paid to repair it though.

My new GT TDi had same problem after 2 weeks of buying it. It was my fault as I messed around with the fusebox and the airbag light came on. Took it to the main dealer to get it sorted (As under warranty), and they said it was a faulty wiring on the passenger side (invoice given for £60 + vat ... but they done it free).
